Information

The jewel in the crown of our oil production is the SAN FELICE monocultivar, obtained by pressing the fruit of the plant of the same name present only in our territory. Harvested at first veraison, it offers high quality and low yield, which is why production is limited. It is an oil with a high content of polyphenols, substances useful for counteracting oxidation.
Origins of the name:
The name San Felice derives from the homonymous bishop and martyr who lived in the 4th century AD. On the site of the martyrdom, the Christians of the time built a splendid Abbey dedicated to the martyr Felice.
The Benedictine monks, faithful to their "ora et labora" rule, transplanted into our fertile lands a cultivar of olive tree, later called San Felice, which immediately took root, spreading in some limited areas and producing an excellent quality of olives.
